MEMRISTOR - AVANT
This short film project is part of the drive to transform the Memristor project into a transmedia narrative experience. It allows me to experiment with different practices and media in my work, and to develop a narrative with a non-linear temporality. The short film is made using a video-inlay technique, with the character shot in a live-action studio and then placed in 3D software, where all the settings in the city of memristor are modeled to enable the character to move around. The camera shots and visuals are inspired as much by comic books and science fiction cinema as by the first video games in three-dimensional space with fixed camera often used to create a sentiment of opression useful in this scenario to reinforce the dystopian effect.
