MEMRISTOR - AVANT

Memristor: An electrical component that limits or regulates the flow of electric current in a circuit and stores the amount of charge that has previously passed through it.

A fictional archive extracted from a walk through cold, unsettling architecture. That's how you feel when you see the metallic and electronic objects that these forms evoke. The spaces created are the result of an anxiety that questions the limits of urbanism. In some megacities, this feeling of oppression is linked to the with the sometimes uncontrolled proliferation of structures and architecture that are ever larger, more massive, brutal and innovative. Austere, detached buildings are a real nightmare for the landscape of tomorrow.

Memristor is a project for a ghost town, abandoned by its inhabitants. A cold, worrying and austere city, a metallic and electronic architecture. Through photographic work, the images of a walk are offered to us as a fictional archive. A metal presentation device has been designed to frame the images and to insert these metal objects as if they had been extracted from the photograph.
